Its been a while since I've posted any photos, but I'm excited that these engagement photos of Molly and Taylor get to be the ones where it picks back up. These two are just awesome. They braved the cold and we had a lot of fun walking around this little deserted area. Can't wait for your wedding in less than two weeks!

What a beautiful (and freezing!) day we had to do a little engagement session on Lookout Mtn last weekend. Cannon's family farm was just the perfect place for this shoot with its picturesque red barn and surrounding lake. This session was totally fun, with lots of laughing with their dogs, and trying to fool ourselves into thinking it was really actually warm and not freezing. Can't wait to see you guys again next month for the wedding!

Cynthia + Luke, Part II

On the last night of their weekend, Cynthia + Luke reaffirmed their vows to one another in front of their close family and friends. We were able to get some portraits before hand at Cynthia's uncles house, which is beyond words amazing. Thank you, Cynthia and Luke, for having me be part of your celebration.

Cynthia and Luke are probably the nicest, sweetest couple you will ever meet. I'm pretty sure that Cynthia's heart is made of pure gold. Cynthia and Luke eloped a year ago in October, and so for their one year anniversary they decided to have a weekend full of parties with their close friends and family. The first night was a time for everyone to meet and mingle at Cynthia's uncles house on Lookout Mountain. The next night was a bluegrass night with all the fixins. Enjoy these photos from the first two nights. (and the biggest thanks to Tim for all your help over the weekend!)

Nick + Hayley are married

This is without a doubt one of my favorite weddings of the year. Nick and Hayley are good friends of Aaron and I, and I was super honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding. It was fun and relaxing, and I think they got the prettiest day in October for it to take place. They are a really talented couple, and most everything was diy with lots of help from their awesome friends. Congrats guys.

Wow, what a stylish family! Not that I would expect anything less from such a cool family, but its still always fun to meet up with a family dressed for the occasion. I had a great time with Todd and Kamilla and their two sweet girls as we braved one of the first cold mornings in November. There was lots of laughter and fun as we ran around some areas in Chattanooga, TN.

New Ventures

Rainie is my little niece, and I love her to pieces. She's a girly girl, with a bright personality and the most contagious laugh. Bright blue eyes like her momma, and curly hair to match. Her parents are really cool too. I love this family, and am glad I get to be part of Rainie's life!

I can't wait for you guys to meet Liz + Tyler and their two cutie pies. Not only are they a fun and loving family, but they're uber-talented. Liz is a portrait painter and you must check out her work. Its perfect. Tyler is a helicopter pilot, who also finds the time to create his own art. Add in the impossible cuteness of their two daughters, et voilà, its la famille magnifique! Oh, and their basically family, so I'm a tad biased.

Weekend at a lakehouse

A few weeks ago, my family spent a weekend at a friend's lakehouse in Tennessee. Sounds like a fairly normal thing, but it can be quite a feat to get my family together, with us scattered in France, Tennessee, Georgia and California. Unfortunately, my sister and her family in California couldn't make it, but everyone else was there! We had a great time swimming in the scummy lake, grilling out, and we also managed to break a couch and a bed. What can I say, we like to have fun.

Aaron and I just got married on saturday! We're not taking our real honeymoon until November, but we went to Asheville for a couple of days after the wedding. Instead of calling it a "fake honeymooon, or pre-honeymoon", we're calling it a SugarMoon. Get it? We're very clever. These photos are from Max Patch, a super beautiful spot to hike or just walk around in.

Catherine+Bo, Married.

Catherine and Bo had a beautiful wedding on June 5th, 2010 in Chattanooga, TN. Their ceremony was in a church, followed by an all-out-explosive reception with crazy dancing and fun in the Persian Rug Company. It made for the perfect reception location with wide open spaces line with beautiful and unique rugs. Despite stormy forecasts, the day turned out to be gorgeous (and maybe a little hot), and made for the perfect canvas for this sweet couple and their bridal party. Thanks Catherine and Bo for letting me be part of your day! Many congrats.

What an incredible experience it was to be able to photograph Phoenix for the cover of American Songwriter. I've been a long time fan of this band, and I had to keep pinching myself before, during and after the shoot to believe that it was really happening. The coolest thing is that they are really nice and down to earth. Oh, and they were all styling some really sweet boots. Ah, oui, french men do know how to dress ;). And a big shout out and thank you to Heidi for snapping some awesome polaroids during the shoot. So now you must go grab yourself a copy.

A little while back I did a small photoshoot for the up and coming clothes company FLOW. For Love Of the World (FLOW) was started by South African native Kim Meltzer, who wanted to create a line of pants that could be very versatile in their wear. While all of the pants have the same design, the different cuts and fabrics make some lounge and yoga appropriate, and others dressy to wear out. My good friend JR was my model in theses shots.

Hi everyone! This is my introductory blog post. As some of you may know, I travel a lot with Heidi of Our Labor of Love, and get to document some pretty cool stuff that just never gets posted. I also take day to day photos that have no place to live so, in a sense, this blog is a home for my homeless photos. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll check in often.

A few months back, I got to travel to Palm Springs with Heidi to shoot a wedding. We stayed at the amazing Ace Hotel, and saw some beautiful scenery in the surrounding area. Enjoy.
